These are WCW Monday Nitro Results from June 7, 1999 from Cleveland State University in Cleveland Ohio.
WCW aired Nitro live from the campus of Cleveland State University in
Cleveland, Ohio last night. This was the last Nitro before the Great American
Bash PPV this Sunday, so the Macho Man Randy Savage turned up the heat
before his match with Kevin Nash in Baltimore.
The show opened as a white limousine with Randy Savage and his entourage
pulled up in the back. Savage had the driver take the lid off of a bucket,
which had some very vile contents in it. Savage was looking for Kevin
Nash, and wanted to share the contents with the WCW champ.
A little later in the show, Savage and company came out to the ring.
Bischoff told us that he heard through his headsets that Savage had
"sewage" with him. Savage took the microphone and said that Nash was not
in the building and ran him down. He said he was going to take him out at
the Bash this weekend. Savage said that his "sewage" was from last week at
the Astrodome and since Nash is not there, he challenged
anyone to come and fight him. Also, he would dump the bucket over their head
to symbolically send a message to Nash. Sting then came out from the back
and took up Savage's challenge. He said he would wrestle Savage later
tonight. Savage accepted and said he was he going to get Sting.
Shortly after this segment, we saw a clip from last week where Nash gave
Savage and company a septic truck shower in Savage's limo. Then, Nash came
to the ring. Nash had a bag with him, and said he had his gear. He told
Savage he was ready to take him on right now. Savage then came out,
carrying his "sewage" in hand. Nash exited the ring, leaving the bag
behind. While Savage jawed with Nash, the bag started moving. A girl made
her way out of the bag and dumped the "sewage" on Savage's head while he
had his back turned!

Later in the show, at 10 p.m., Nash was leaving the building when all of
Savage's women were in a limo. They asked him to hop in with them. He was
hesitant, but then agreed to get in after the girls got out to show him
that Savage was not inside. He got in, and they laughed at him. The limo
took off, and Savage was behind the wheel. He pulled the limo up next to a
steel dumpster and then had someone in a humvee repeatedly rammed the limo,
leaving Nash injured in the limo.

Sting beat Randy Savage by DQ
Gorgeous George attacked Sting before the bell, and Miss Madness and Madusa
interfered during that match as well. On top of that, Savage threw powder
in Sting's face. Then, for no reason, Savage snapped and attacked ref
Johnny Boone and nailed him with a piledriver. Mickey Jay came out and
called for the DQ and Savage hit him as well. Sting came back and went to
hit the Stinger Splash on Savage, but he pulled Miss Madness in front of
him. Sting tried again, and Savage pulled Madusa in front of him.
Sting finally got Savage and ran him off. The Steiner brothers came
out and attacked Sting until Lex Luger made the save.

The other big development on the show saw the World Tag Titles change hands
as Saturn and Chris Benoit beat Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow in a match
that started out with Ric Flair as Benoit's partner.
The bout was set up earlier in the show when Ric Flair was shown in the
back talking to Chris Benoit. Flair told Benoit that he had the utmost
respect for him. Benoit said that he no longer has unconditional respect
for Flair due to them hooking it up last week. Flair said that all they
did last week was show the world they were both great wrestlers. He said
that he and Arn Anderson had their differences a few years ago, and they
put their differences aside. He said that they were men, and he asked Benoit
to let him have the chance to be that man again. He said he would
take care of Benoit tonight to make it up to him. Benoit said he
would agree to think about it. Saturn then walked in and said that last
week he lost the tag belts because Kanyon was hurt and said that since
Kanyon felt better, he wanted a rematch tonight. Flair told Saturn that he
was just about to book a match where he and Benoit would go for the titles
against Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow so Saturn could forget that.
Saturn said he wanted the match and left. Benoit agreed to take the tag
title match with Flair.
The actual match opened the second hour of the show. Benoit fought
vailantly for about 10 minutes and when he went to tag Flair, Flair
short-armed him. Arn Anderson pleaded with Flair to stay and fight, but he
left. Arn took his shirt off and hopped up on the apron to be his partner.
The announcers said Arn was not licensed to wrestle and shouldn't be
in the ring. Saturn came out and took Flair's place and then got the tag from
Benoit. Saturn hit the Death Valley Driver on Page and the makeshift team
won the tag titles. Kanyon then came in to "congratulate" Saturn but
nailed him with the Flatliner instead. He joined Page and Bigelow in
pounding the new champions into the match and leaving them laying.

The rest of the show saw:
Hak, with Chastity, d. Prince Iaukea
Hak came out smoking a cigarette, which he used to do in the past. Tony
Schiavone said that it went against corporate policy to do that, and Eric
Bischoff, who was in the announcer's booth, backed up Tony. Bischoff,
Scott Dickinson and J.J. Dillon told him to put the cigarette out.
Dillon said there would be no match until he put the cigarette out. Hak
blew smoke in his face. Dillon told him to put it out, and Hak told
Dillon, "make me." Bischoff hit the ring and told Hak there would not
be a match until he put out the cigarette. Hak blew smoke in his face.
Hak pushed Bischoff, and Bischoff slapped him in the face. Bischoff then
told the ref not to DQ Hak, but instead let them wrestle. A minute in,
Chastity came in and sprayed Prince in the face with the fire extinguisher.
Hak brought in a table and did a senton splash off of the top, but the
table did not break. Ouch. Hak whipped Prince into the table again, and
then pinned him. After the match, Hugh Morrus and Brian Knobbs, with Jimmy
Hart, came in and made the save. Kidman ran in and briefly made the save,
but eventually Knobbs and Morrus came back and the men brawled to the back.

Scotty Riggs d. Lenny Lane
Early in the match, Lodi came out to ringside to watch the match. It was a
hotly contested bout which saw Riggs eventually get the duke with a legdrop
facecrusher to the back of Lane's head.
La Parka and Silver King d. Damien and Ciclope in a Falls Count Anywhere
Hardcore Lucha match
There was incredible action in the match with tons of plunder. At the end,
La Parka got a two with a powerbomb off of the top rope -- through a table --
on Damien. Parka then got the pin when he powerbombed Damien onto two
chairs. Ouch.

In the back, Scott Norton was with the Black and White, and he asked why
they were not there for him when Ernest Miller hit him with a tire iron last Monday. None of them had a good answer for him.
Ernest Miller, with Sonny Onoo, came out for an interview.
He said he was
the greatest because he knocked out Norton. He made David Penzer announce
him as the "greatest of all time and the Godfather of soul." Horace came
out and attacked Miller.
Ernest Miller d. Horace
Horace was in control when Onoo got on the apron. Horace paid attention to
Onoo, and Miller pasted him in the head with the crowbar for the win.
The Black and White were watching in the back and went to ringside to get
Miller. Miller ran for his life.
Gene Okerlund Interviewed Roddy Piper
Piper said he was going to take out Ric Flair this weekend. He then said that he was tired of hearing young guys in the back saying they should be in the main event instead of Piper and Flair. He called down Buff Bagwell. Piper then ran down Buff as being a greenhorn. Buff didn't care. Piper then told Buff that after he beat Flair, he would hand Bagwell the ball. He better not fumble it. Buff said he would run with it.
(Watch Piper hand Buff the ball: 2M QuickTime movie)
Curt Hennig came out, with Bobby Duncum Jr., and joined the announcing team
for a match.
Rey Mysterio Jr. d. Bobby Duncum Jr.
Duncum took on Rey Mysterio Jr. Konnan came out and hung out with DJ Ran.
Hennig and Konnan ran down each other throughout the match. Rey was going
for the win when Hennig jumped in, causing the DQ.
(High-flying Rey: 661K QuickTime movie)
The Steiners did an interview where they ran down Sting.
(Big Poppa Pump sends out a message to Sting: 1M QuickTime movie)
Buff Bagwell d. Disco Inferno
The Disco Inferno came out and took offense to what Buff Bagwell said
earlier in the show. He ran down Bagwell for not telling Piper that "he
stinks" and challenged him to a match, right then. Buff accepted and won.
